Management Team/StaffNeuralog, Inc. is a privately held company founded in 1991 by Mr. Robert Best and Mr. Kenneth Land. Neuralog was established to find creative solutions for problems in the petroleum industry through the application of advanced computer science technologies and client interaction. Previously, Mr. Best and Mr. Land worked together in the aerospace industry developing communication simulation software for NASA's space shuttle and space station programs Robert E. Best serves as President and CEO of Neuralog. He holds a Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering from Texas A& M University. Mr. Best is the third generation of his family to be involved in exploration aspects of the Oil and Gas Industry and is a member of the Society of Professional Well Log Analyst as well as other industry associations. Mr. Best cultivates and maintains relationships with other software and data providers that will furnish our mutual customers with a totally integrated workflow solution. Through intensive client interaction, Mr. Best serves a conduit of information regarding the issues and needs of the Neuralog customer directly to the Neuralog development staff. His expertise in workflow design and industry software applications provides him with an appreciation of the economic and technical complexities facing the geoscientist today. Kenneth P. Land serves as Executive Vice President of Research and Development and as a board member. He also holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from Texas A & M University and is an expert in image processing and neural network applications. Mr. Land actively researches advancements in computer technology and applications across a number of industries, incorporating those that would most benefit Neuralog clients. He is also leading the effort to provide Neuralog clients instant product information and interaction via the web. Mr. Land’s extensive product development experience has allowed Neuralog to respond quickly to the changing needs of the Oil and Gas Industry. Best, President and CEO, Kenneth Land,
Executive Vice President of Research and Development and Mr.
James Downing, who has served as a director and consultant to Neuralog
since December of 1996. Mr. Downing has been involved in the development
of Computer Aided Exploration Systems for over 30 years. He founded Zycor,
Inc. in 1979 for the purpose of building the petroleum industry’s first
interactive mapping and modeling system, ZMAP Plus. Mr. Downing served as
President, CEO, and Board Chairman of Zycor until its merger with Landmark
Graphics in 1989. In 1992, he was invited to serve on the Board of
Directors of Landmark, a position he held until Halliburton Company
acquired Landmark Graphics in 1996. While at Landmark, Mr. Downing led a
number of major integration activities as well as the development of
OpenWorks. With the acquisition of Landmark Graphics by Halliburton
Company, Mr. Downing elected to retire from full time employment with the
company and pursue other interests, at which time he joined the Neuralog
Board of Directors. |
