June 2000 - NeuraSection adds OpenWorks Link
NeuraSection 4.0 adds OpenWorks Connectivity that links well and related data directly from a selected OpenWorks project using standard PC-based Oracle connectivity tools. The link requires no modifications to your existing OpenWorks installation. Supported well data includes header, production, deviation and geological (picks and faults). Versioned and interpreter-indexed geological information can be sent back to OpenWorks for subsequent analysis and mapping.

Neuralog has also released stratigraphic fault gapping capability within NeuraSection V4.0. This feature allows the geologist to quickly locate and illustrate missing sections in well logs.

BP Amoco, a long time user of Neuralog products, recently standardized its world-wide digitizing operations to use NeuraLog and NeuraMap. Neuralog closed its books last Thursday with a record high 3rd quarter, showing a 15% growth rate over last year's numbers. Increased sales for its NeuraSection and NeuraMap products were contributing factors.

These exciting results reflect the general uplifted spirit of the industry, cited Kenneth P. Land, Executive VP, and we expect the fourth quarter to be even better. Times have been tough lately for everyone, but as we move towards the new millennium, we will continue to show our customers that Neuralog is always the best choice - both short term and long.

September 1999 - MMS gives NeuraSection Thumbs Up
The U.S. Department of the Interior's Minerals Management Service (MMS) has selected NeuraSection as its tool of choice for creating Geological Cross Sections. The evaluation, which took place over several months, included several other industry competitors. MMS evaluators cited a short learning curve, direct well data import from their existing Oracle database, and the product’s versatility as key factors in their decision. Also mentioned by the MMS was NeuraSection's ability to quickly create type logs from multiple raster sources. The MMS will utilize the network capability of NeuraSection to streamline the geoscience workflow.

The MMS oversees the exploration and development of America's Federal offshore natural gas, oil, and other mineral resources. The MMS will use NeuraSection to help estimate hydrocarbon reserves and evaluate the petroleum potential of the Continental Shelf and Deepwater Gulf of Mexico.
