Computer systems are available to database, model and analyze all manner of geologic data. However, despite the cost of these systems, they do not come loaded with data. Acquiring, vectorizing and loading data is expensive and time consuming. And verifying the accuracy of that data is the most important and most difficult step in the process. Whether digitizing is done in house or by a third party, the data must be checked for accuracy.
Traditional methods require plotting the data back to paper, laying the new plot over the original and comparing the positioning of each item. The accuracy of the data is limited by human physical constraints and time.

NeuraLog provides heads up well log digitizing, eliminating the need for check plots through on-screen quality control. The traced well log curves overlay the original scanned curves right on your computer screen. Digitizing logs has never been this straightforward and reliable. |

NeuraMap eliminates the need for check plots through on-screen quality control. NeuraMap not only captures map data from scanned paper images, but reads input from digitizing tables and databases as well! Data from compatible databases can be displayed in conjunction with newly digitized data for further verification. |
Scanning documents is the first step in paper to vector conversion. How you scan documents will depend on your individual needs. Neuralog provides high speed, wide format scanners for customers who need fast, high quality scanning, and who require scan widths greater than 12 inches.
For customers with less demanding scanning requirements, (e.g., those who only need to scan well logs), Neuralog now offers the NeuraScanner, a light-weight, portable well log scanner. The NeuraScanner replaces Neuralog's FaxScan system. FaxScan is a (thermal paper) office Fax machine, modem, and special scanning software that interfaces with the Neuralog products. While FaxScan is still a usable solution for scanning well logs, the NeuraScanner is lighter, faster and more flexible that the FaxScan system.
Finally, for customers that only occasionally need documents scanned, Neuralog offers scanning, as well as a variety of other services, through its Consulting Services Group.
