Scanning is controlled by CADImage/SCAN software, accessible through your
Workstation. Results are easily previewed on screen. The built-in dedicated high-speed
Digital Signal Processor (DSP) does image processing and enhancement in real-time.
The unique two-dimensional 2D-Adaptive Thresholding provides clean crisp scans
from poor quality drawings on-line without prescan, automatically adapting to the drawing,
compensating for varying background, faded areas and stains. Further deskew and despeckle
may be performed on-the-fly during scanning, giving you perfectly horizontally aligned and
speckle-free scanned drawings. Other features include:
- Selectable enhancement of thin lines by pixel thickening and dynamic edge
emphasizing
- Movable and sizable "scan window" to scan part of a drawing
- Selectable raster and gray-tone scanning
- Reverse and Mirror image scanning
- Graytone pixel average to improve image sampling
- Automatic pixel-to-pixel equalization of light and amplification performed prior

The CADImage/SCAN software also provides "after scanning" support
including conversion alignment, view and print:
- Any line may be selected and aligned to horizontal position.
- Images may be converted to the more than 40 industry standard raster file
formats.
- Degree of rotation, Cropping, Inversion, Mirroring and De-speckling can be
specified.
- On-Screen viewing, zooming and measuring of views can be performed.
- Drawings may be plotted to the most popular electrostatic/thermal plotters and
laser printers.
