Shot Points lines are easily captured by marking an example symbol and automatically capturing the line..

Select the Shot Point Line Capture Type.
Select Symbol Capture Mode, the second icon on the left hand side.
Draw a box around a good shot point example.
Select the plus tool (edit mode); this will automatically select the Object Capture Mode
Manually click on the first two shot points on the line
Right click to automatically capture the remaining shot points.
Enter the shot point attributes. Tab through the data entry cells. Once the third shot point value has been entered, the remaining values will be automatically calculated.
- Enter shot point line name
- Enter the Shot Point numbers
- Optionally enter the elevation
